Arsenal face Tottenham.. London Summit to take top spot in English Premier League
 Arsenal  VS  Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur is set to face Arsenal in the north London derby on Saturday, in the ninth round of English Premier League football, hoping to rise to the competition standings.

Ahead of the Emirates Stadium summit, Arsenal won their last two home games in the English Premier League against Tottenham and have beaten their last 3 consecutive matches between February 2012 and September 2013.

Spurs have lost 2 of their last 3 league clashes with Arsenal (draw 1), the same number as in their previous 13 clashes (win 5 and 6 draws).

The Gunners have lost only once in their last 29 home games in the English Premier League against Spurs (17 wins and 11 draws), and have not lost in their last 11 games at the Emirates Stadium, since the 3-2 defeat in November 2010.

Spurs have scored at least once in each of Arsenal's last 10 meetings in all competitions, the second-longest scoring streak against their London neighbours, after 24 occasions between 1955 and 1967.

This is the first English Premier League meeting between Arsenal and Tottenham, and one of the teams at the top of the league since December 2007, with the league leaders Arsenal winning 2-1 at home, and in the event of a victory for Spurs, it will be the first time in the history of the Premier League that either side has won against the other, replacing them at the top of the table.
